Or, a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), which provides supplied air to users.
Unlike negative pressure systems, positive pressure respirators do not rely solely on the user's breathing to draw air. The positive pressure within the mask reduces breathing resistance, improves user comfort during and provides a higher level of protection.
Positive pressure SCBA systems are frequently used in situations where users may need respiratory protection for long durations, during physically demanding tasks, oxygen deficient environments, or need the ability to isolate their breathing loop from the air around them.
